Project BelVan

BelVan which lies across the Yamunaji, is among the 12 important forests of Vraj Mandal. On our first visit here with Gurushree, I was shocked to see how much filth covered the area. The sand was literally covered 3-4 inches in plastic and took nearly a week to get it rid of all the initial plastic. There several pracheen Peelu vraksh and all were covered with plastic. There are several Jamun tres also whuch look at least 70-80 years old. Yamunaji flows right behind this Van, or whatever much is left of it. It saddened to look at the decay thats happened in this divine bhumi of ShreeRadhaKrushn. What followed were several visits and the enchanting beauty of his place filled our hearts with divinity. Thats when we formed the entity Dev Daman, in love for our Beloved Thakurjeee, ShreeNathji who has been a constant with us in every visit.

Our gratitude to the Sadhu Baba who looks after this place and prevents encroachments. We had his complete cooperation in this project. There are several Peelu trees which need reinforcement to strengthen the roots, and with Thakurjee krupa shall be taken up soon.

History of the sacred BelVan:

BelVan – The Sadhu baba who lives here and takes care of this pavitr sthal has been a great help, wanted us to put up a board of the foundation so that it hinders people not to throw garbage around

The sacred Van as it looked before we started the cleaning project

Bel Van after cleaning – It took us a week to get the cleaning done as the plastic was embedded in the sand at least 3-4 inches. The pracheen trees were surrounded by filth and garbage
